Bank and Policy Journal. Guidelines for Authors

The Bank and Policy Journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, and policy analyses that address issues in banking, finance, economics, and related interdisciplinary fields. To ensure a smooth submission and publication process, authors are kindly requested to carefully follow these guidelines.

1. Manuscript Structure

In general, manuscripts should be organized into the following sections:

  1. Title – Clear, concise, and informative.

  2. Author Information – Full name, institutional affiliation, academic degree(s), professional position, complete postal address, telephone number, email address, and ORCID iD.

  3. Abstract – Between 150 and 500 words, written as a single paragraph. The abstract should explicitly address:

    • Relevance of the study.

    • Scientific novelty.

    • Originality and contribution (non-repetition of the problem).

  4. Keywords – 5 to 8 keywords closely related to the manuscript’s content.

  5. Introduction – Context, objectives, and significance of the study.

  6. Main Text / Discussion – Clear presentation of methodology, analysis, results, and critical discussion of the problem.

  7. Conclusion – Summary of findings, key contributions, and policy or research implications.

  8. Acknowledgment – Optional but encouraged (see Section 4 below).

  9. References – Complete list of all cited sources, formatted according to APA 7th edition style.

2. Formatting Requirements

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.

  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides.

  • Spacing: 1.0 (single line).

  • Paragraphs: Align left; no extra spaces between paragraphs.

  • Headings: Use clear hierarchical headings (e.g., 1., 1.1., 1.2.).

  • Length: Articles are typically 4,000–8,000 words, including references.

Authors do not need to format the article for journal style. The editorial team will standardize formatting during production. However, authors must submit a clean, well-structured manuscript following the above requirements.

3. Citation and Referencing Style

The journal accepts APA 7th edition as the standard reference style. In-text citations should be consistent and correspond to the reference list.

Examples:

  • APA style: (Mammadov, 1972)

  • Numeric style: [12,3] (permitted for Azerbaijani authors, as required by the Higher Attestation Commission).
